John Nolan brings The Birthday Tour to Boston
In 1978, the turtleneck was a fashion staple, 1LB of Bacon was $1.20, and on a cold February night in Baltimore, Maryland, John Thomas Nolan of Taking Back Sundayand Straylight Run was born. Fast forward to 2017, John Nolan & His Band will embark on The Birthday Tour: a nine-date birthday celebration featuring songs off his two solo albums and the full Straylight Run discography.
“A few months ago, I had the idea to do a solo tour around the week of my birthday. Then I thought, since I’m touring around my birthday why not make every show like a birthday party,” explains Nolan. “So, every night the stage will be decorated with streamers and balloons, everyone will get little party favors and I’ll play songs from my solo albums and Straylight Run’s albums and we’ll all sing and celebrate together!”
